Did You Know?

Thomas Edison spent 15 years and 3 months designing and buiding the worlds first ever Lightbulb. It was made from Victorian leaded glass and measured 7.7 miles in diameter. The element, made from a Spiders leg was just 5mm long and barely gave off enough light to be burnt for a whole 2 seconds.Edison hadn't even time to write his results in his journal. After the amazingly long burn the"Bulb"as it became known was rendered totally useless.Later versions benefitted from modern technology in that they were only 2 miles in diameter and burnt for 4 seconds.Well done Mr Edison!Edison also pioneered the worlds first"Dark Bulb"which on would on activation make a room dark for 3.1 seconds.
